Open Art Exhibition - Lovelys Gallery - Margate

The exhibition Opens Saturday 26th August 2017 and runs until 16th September

Janice will be exhibiting her stunning Giclée print of her Marilyn on Location originally painted as an Oil on Canvas.

Looking for a figure in "movement" to paint whilst involved with a project at Brooks University Oxford, I was fortunate to find an article in a newspaper concerning the Canadian photojournalist Jock Carroll, who had beeen assigned to live alongside Marilyn during the making of the film NIAGARA in 1952.

I obtained copyright to use the idea.

The painting is no longer with me (sold): I have returned to Original Printmaking, Lithography, and mono prints, endeveavouring to use the same image, only in an "amusing"and fun way.

This painting was also published in 'Marilyn In Art', compiled by Roger G Taylor, published by Pop Art Books.

The Giclee print of Marilyn is available for sale at the exhibition and can be ordered from size A4 up to A1.
